A little about us as an MOT centre

Here at Fix Auto Loughborough, not only are we a recognised body repairer, but a respected and well known MOT/service centre.

We opened our MOT bay with all new testing equipment only 4 years ago. We have recently employed our new MOT tester, who has many years’ experience in servicing and mechanical repairs. So you can rest assured your vehicle would be in very capable, competent hands. Any repairs that may need carrying out to get the vehicle through its MOT, we are able to complete here.

We also have the ability and licence to carry out MOTs on class 7 vehicles, including vans, high top vans and flat bed trucks.

 

What is done during an MOT?

If your vehicle is 3 years old or more then you are required by law to have it taken for an MOT. An MOT (Ministry of Transport test) is an annual safety check to ensure the vehicle meets minimum safety standards and levels of exhaust emissions set out by the DVSA. The MOT ensures the vehicle is in a roadworthy condition, it does not however check the general mechanical condition of the vehicle and that is why a regular service is recommended.

SERVICES

Servicing your vehicle regularly proactively maintains your vehicle, reducing the risk of a breakdown. It can also increase the life span of your vehicle and boost its value, even if it isn't done annually. It is recommended that owners have a full service carried out on their vehicle every year or every 12,000 miles - whichever comes earlier.

Here we offer you an option of an interim service also, which can be carried out either every 6 months or every 6,000 miles - whichever comes earlier. This is ideal for drivers who use their vehicle regularly, for short journeys in and around town. Or even for drivers who use their vehicle for more mileage but would like the peace of mind in between the annual full service.
